ABOUT

Founded in 2018, Dance & Christianity is part of the permanent program Dance & Spirituality of the International Dance Council ( CID) official partner of UNESCO. The International Dance Council (CID) is the official partner of UNESCO for all kinds of dances in all countries. It originated from a proposal to explore choreography for Christian hymns and the practice of dancing to them.

The group develops seminars and international projects, offering spaces for prayer through dance, dance as worship, and danced praise. It also engages with the history of dance within Christianity and its place in the contemporary Church, creating bridges between faith, embodiment, and artistic expression.

We collaborate with a large number of international artists, theologians, dance practitioners, and researchers in art history to offer workshops, seminars, and artistic projects that foster intercultural Christian dialogue. In the context of our online seminars, we invite contributors to share their expertise and open new perspectives.

Below are the members of our committee and close collaborators. We are always delighted to welcome new partners, share our skills, and create meaningful connections.

Contact us if you are interested in collaborating with us on current or future projects.
